Dr. Ken Beatty holds a Ph.D. in Curriculum. Studies from the University of Hong Kong. He was most recently Senior Lecturer for Information Technology in the Division of Languages at City University of Hong Kong where he taught for twelve years.

Previously, Dr. Beatty taught at schools and universities in Canada and the People's Republic of China. He has also been Academic Advisor to Hong Kong's Educational Television since 1998.

His publications include textbooks for learning English from elementary school through university levels, a book on learning English using the WWW, and educational websites and CD-ROMs. His recent publications include the popular four-level Read and Think! series.

Dr. Beatty has conducted presentations and teacher training extensively throughout Asia.
